MARC J. MORGAN founder & Ceo

A passion for connecting sports & business

Marc Morgan brings more than 30 years of experience building relationships and leading revenue-generating strategies across professional and collegiate sports. His career has spanned ticketing, premium seating, suites, and sponsorship sales - helping organizations maximize revenue while connecting brands with premier sports properties across the United States.


That lifelong focus on aligning business objectives with major league sports platforms led to the founding of THE SPORTS CONSULTING TEAM, a niche advisory firm dedicated to guiding organizations, brands, and investors within the sports industry.


As CEO, Morgan has advised a diverse client base—from growth-oriented companies leveraging sports as a marketing platform to Fortune 500 brands seeking to optimize and benchmark multimillion-dollar sports investments. He brings strategic clarity, disciplined negotiation, and an owner’s mindset to every engagement.


Prior to launching The Sports Consulting Team, Morgan served as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for Minnesota United FC, where he oversaw sponsorships, premium seating, and suites. He played a key leadership role in multiple high-profile initiatives, including development of the club’s Experience Center designed to showcase the new stadium, tell the club’s story, and drive season ticket memberships. He also served as the day-to-day business contact for minority ownership and as the revenue liaison with Mortenson Construction during the development of Allianz Field. Following the stadium’s opening, Major League Soccer named Minnesota United’s Corporate Partnerships department the 2019 Corporate Partnerships Team of the Year.


Earlier in his career, Morgan spent 14 years with the Minnesota Vikings, where he managed several of the organization’s largest partnerships, including the Official Beer Partnership with Miller Brewing Company. He later served as Director of Sales for University of Minnesota Athletics / Gopher Sports Properties, leading the signing of multiple high-profile brands and overseeing more than $13 million in annual sales revenue.  Morgan’s earlier partnership and negotiation experience includes roles with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Detroit Pistons, Buffalo Sabres, and Milwaukee Brewers.


He earned his undergraduate degree from Marquette University and his MBA, graduating cum laude, from University of St. Thomas. Marc and his wife, Kirsten, live in Mound, Minnesota, with their two children.
